In tough times we're so glad we could bring joy to Lindelani Primary School 🥳 Principal, Mr Mata, and the Sports Master were happy to receive all the sports goods from our very own Adele with Cindy and Liesl of the Robin Hood Foundation 🥰 The car was packed full and we're so thankful to everyone who donated, making this an extra special delivery 🤗

15 years ago was the last time Shaun Baker coached

15 years ago was the last time Shaun Baker coached with us at the Madsen Hockey Academy and wow was it good to have him back this afternoon! 🤩 ⁣
Thank you Shaun for being our guest this week and coaching the St Mary's girls 👏🏼 All the experience from coaching overseas really shows in all the work you put in to make sure our players grow and develop into their full potential 🌟

Wade Paton will be coaching at our Academy tomorro

Wade Paton will be coaching at our Academy tomorrow 🤩 ⁣
We're so excited for our players to be coached by one of the best players out there! Wade made his debut for South Africa at the age of 20 and has since then earned 125 caps for the SA Outdoor hockey team and 12 caps for Indoor 👏🏼 He has played hockey in Belgium and will be sharing all he has learned with us! 🇧🇪 Wade believes that with the right structure and support, the SA team could be up there amongst the greats and we totally agree 🇿🇦 🏆

Robin Jones is just one of the world class coaches

Robin Jones is just one of the world class coaches that will be at our St Mary's Skills Academy 🤩 ⁣
⁣
In 2012, Robin was the SA u21 captain that lead the team to win the Junior Africa Cup 🏆From 2013 to 2016, Robin played abroad in England and Belgium ✈️ ⁣
He now has 54 outdoor caps and 16 indoor caps representing the country on the world stage, including the Commonwealth Games, Indoor World Cup and the Africa Cup 🇿🇦 He has been so influential in growing the game, which is why it is only fitting that he is the SA u21 Men's Outdoor and the SA Men's Indoor Selector 🤓⁣
Robin has attained his FIH Level 2 and SAHA Level 3, which is why we're so lucky to have him join us 🤩

It's time to dust off all the hockey kit and start stretching because we'll be back on the astro this Friday! 🤩 Unfortunately due to COVID-19, we are only able to get started with our St Mary's girls for now but please keep an eye out on our social media pages for updates on future academies 🤓 ⁣
